According to the U.S. Department of health and family services, "The link between good nutrition and healthy weight, reduced chronic disease risk, and overall health is too important to ignore. By taking steps to eat healthy, you'll be on your way to getting the nutrients your body needs to stay healthy, active, and strong. As with physical activity, making small changes in your diet can go a long way, and it's easier than you think!"
OLM Prep couldn't agree more! In order to improve our students in mind, body, and spirit, we realize the importance of good nutrition and eating habits. We are proud to offer a new lunch program from What's Cookin. Our meals will be delicious and healthy meals for our students, giving them the best possible fuel to help them be successful.
The cost of daily lunch is $6.50.
We are also now participating in the National School Lunch Program. Below are the links to help determine the eligibility of children who may receive free or reduced-price meals served under the National School Lunch Programs. We have adopted the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Income Eligibility Guidelines (IEGs) following family size and income criteria for determining eligibility.
The income guidelines below will be used in Connecticut from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019, for determining eligibility of participants for free and reduced-price meals and free milk in the Child Nutrition Programs.
